Train To Play
Train to play where the trainee’s focus during training is to further improve their foundation skill, footwork, gameplay and learn new skills to add variety to their gameplay. This category is for trainees that are able to execute the basic skills and demonstrate a certain level of consistency. At Extreme Badminton Academy, our goal for our trainees at the train to play category is to allow them play to compete in tournaments.
In order to allow our trainees move from train to play to play to compete. Our coaches will focus on:
1) Serial movement which is linking of the multiple foundation skills together to simulate a badminton rally. With serial movements our trainee can embrace the ability to switch between skills as needed during the game.
2) Intermediate footwork such as full court footwork, interception and pointing footwork. This allows our trainee to practice their muscle memory on the court which allows them to execute it with ease.
3) Combination of footwork with fixed serial movements to further enhance the badminton game experience.
3) Lastly, learning new skill to add variety to their game play. They will learn skills such as reverse drop shot, slice drop shot, jump smash, drive shot, backhand drop/clear and cross net.
